God knows the importance of company to a man, and said “it is not good for man to be alone”. The writer of Hebrews in this discourse was giving an assurance to Christians, that He would never leave us nor forsake us. This means we would never be alone.
From time to time we find ourselves in some situations and it will seem that we are all alone. God by His Spirit is giving us a word of re-assurance this morning that He is with us in those situation, since God is always with us every time, then we should know that those difficult situations will not over run us, since nothing can overcome God.
One thing about a caring shepherd is that he never leaves his flock alone. The Lord is our shepherd. (Psalm 23) There are times when He leads us to beautiful places with green vegetation, and safe waters. But there are times also when we go through dangerous places. At such times also He is with us. As a result of this we should not fear because we are not alone. My dear readers! Whatever you are going through, even at this lockdown period, remember, you are not alone. You will surely overcome, just surrender your totality to him and have faith in God.
Prayer: Christ Jesus, I surrender myself to you as flock, be my shepherd all the days of my life in Jesus name.
