TOPIC: Who Are Your Friends?
BIBLE READING: – 2 Corinthians 6:14-18
There is an adage, which says, “show me your friends and I will tell you who you are” oftentimes you become like your friends and your friends become like you. If your friends are interested in latest fashion you are likely to be someone who likes fashion, too. If your friends are Christians and they love, studying God’s word you also will do likewise.
So it matters a lot whom your friends are since we like to be with people who enjoy what we enjoy. True believers mostly enjoy doing what pleases God. Their greatest reason for living is to honour God with their lives. Choosing Christian friends who enjoy obeying God’s word is good and will encourage you to do likewise.
If you stand on a table and someone else stands on the ground, you would find it is easier for that person to pull you down than to pull up that person. It is easier to be influenced negatively by unbelieving friends. Do not be deceived, evil communication corrupts good morals.
THOUGHT: DO NOT BE UNEQUALLY YOKED WITH UNBELIEVERS
Prayer: Almighty God, deliver from the hand of the deceiver that claimed to be my friend in Jesus name.
