Topic: We are temporary tenants on earth
Bible Reading: – Luke 12:16-21
Friends, has it ever occurred to you that no matter how long one lives on earth we all will one day go “home”? We shall all die some day. In other words, we are temporary tenants here. So, how do we handle our temporary lives? Reckless?
Whatever we do here on earth is either credited or debited to us. Remember, Abraham believed God and it was credited to him for righteousness. His heavenly accounts were enlarged because of his work with God. Our text reveals a man who had riches here on earth but was bankrupt in heaven. What a pity? He missed it all. Being rich towards God is eternal; laying up treasure for the flesh is a disaster.
No man can serve two masters. If you lay your treasure in heaven because your heart is there, the Lord Himself will order your steps here on earth; your ears will hear right, your eyes will perceive well. Your heart will accommodate the spiritual. Then it is a matter of time, the natural will bow to the superior authority of the supernatural for you.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, since am a tenant with temporary body, help me not to miss use my temporary live.
