THE REPORTED DEATH OF AN UNIDENTIFIED YOUNG WOMAN BESIDE HARMONY LODGE: THE TRUE STATE OF THE MATTER
We officially announce the death of a yet to be identified lady within the polytechnic students community/lodge.
Yesterday, the decomposed remains of a yet to be identified young woman was found in a well beside Harmony Lodge by an unsuspecting passerby who swiftly alerted the authorities of the Polytechnic and the Nigerian Police.
We wish to state that the identity of the deceased has not been ascertained neither has the Students Union Government (SUG) received any official report of a missing student from anyone or any family.
We therefore urge the students to remain calm and disregard any rumor claiming that the diseased was a student of the Polytechnic until the outcome of an autopsy investigation proves so.
Furthermore, the SUG wish to assure the students that our security architecture remains intact. Protection of the student’s property while the closure of schools endures remain our topmost priority.
Meanwhile, the Police Area Command in Bida, has confirmed the incidence. The command appealed to the community to remain calm as investigation into the matter has commenced.
