Topic: Total Recovery
BIBLE READING: – 1 Samuel 30:8-20
David was living in Ziklag, a town of the Philistines, with his family. He went with the warriors to Aphek to assist the Philistines in their war against Israel but was not allowed. On getting back to Ziklag, David and his men discovered that some Amalekites had come to raid their homes, and had carried away all their possessions, including their wives and children.
David was wise enough to consult god and he was assured of total recovery. Have you lost anything to the enemy? God’s word this morning is an assurance of total recovery. Man’s effort without God could recover some things, but God’s power ensures complete recovery. Nothing was left behind with the enemy that was not recovered. There was even extra. Total recovery includes extra compensation.
Job 42: 7-13, Job’s story would have had a happy ending if he got all his property and children. However, because our God is a God who is able to do more than we can ever imagine or ask. Job got back much more than he lost. This is total recovery. You may have recovered all that you lost specifically; God’s word makes us to know that there is more coming. Not only did Job receive a double of what he had before, people who had pitied him came to bless him.
Prayer: All my lost glory, today! I recover them back in Jesus name.
