“DAILY COMMUNION WITH GOD”
AT THE TABLE OF LOCKDOWN
19th June, 2020
TOPIC: First Things First
BIBLE READING: – 2 Chronicles 29:1-10
Hezekiah was unfortunate to have a very wicked father. He did not however allow that to keep him from serving God. He realized that first things, truly and really, ought to come first. No wonder, he began from the Temple of God. Verse 3 of our text tells us that “… in the first year of his reign, in the first month …” That was the first thing he did. His reign was subsequently successful as he brought Judah back to glory from the dark days of Ahaz his father. Our leaders should realize that until we put righteousness first, every other effort may prove to be futile.
If you put the last first, progress will become complex and difficult. Progress and indeed motion is a lot easier when the first thing takes first place. If we will always put God first, above our desires, careers, homes, personal goals etc. God will be glorified and then things will fall in place… and with ease. Let us all learn to place God first.
Prayer: Heavenly father, please inspire our leaders to return to righteousness in Jesus name.
I remain your humble Servant Pastor David A. Taiwo {ECWA GOSPEL CHURCH GRA BIDA}
