Topic: The Master Key
Bible Reading: – Daniel 6:10-27
We have all at one time or the other, watched a movie, where a thief breaks into a home and opens all the doors with just one Master key. That is what prayer is to us as Christians. It is a key that can open or shut any door.
Daniel was a young man whose habits and convictions were based on pleasing God regardless of whether anyone else was pleased or not. He spoke and acted so wisely, that his enemies could find nothing against him but his faith. “Then said these men, we shall not find any accusation against this Daniel except concerning the laws of His God” Daniel 6:5.
Above all else, Daniel was a man of prayer. Even lions could not come between him and his habit of prayer. Although his prayers did not stop him from getting thrown into the lion den, they were the keys that shut the mouth of the lions and kept him in touch with God even in the den. Eventually his enemies were destroyed by the same lions. We Christian are enjoined by God to pray without ceasing 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Never wait till you are in a tough situation before you pray. Pray now, that you may not fall prey.
Thought: Prayer is the master key that can open or shut the strongest doors
