TOPIC: Not Too Young To Be Used of God
BIBLE READING: – 2 Chronicles 34:1-7, 33
Josiah was the son of Amnon, king of Judah. His father did evil in the eyes of God {2 Chr. 33:21} but he did not. Josiah was just 8years old when he became king of Judah. And still a teenager {16yrs} when he started seeking God. At 20years, he had done exploits for God, ridding his kingdom of idol worship and repairing God’s temple.
Children, you are not too young to make a change for god in your family or wherever you are. You can fight impurity, sin and unrighteousness in your family, school, Church and even around you. How about resisting murder through abortion? Josiah sought God and was used to destroy idolatry in Judah. Josiah became one of the great kings in Israel. A lamentation was composed for him and he is still remembered till today {2Chr. 35:25}. Why not begin to seek God now?
Gideon was another young man who was available and used of God to deliver his people, starting from his father’s house. He destroyed his parents’ shrine and built an altar unto God. You are not too young to change your family beliefs, Church traditions etc, that are contrary to God’s word. ALL YOU NEED IS A WILLING HEART AND GOD’S HELP. My reader, remember it is not by might, nor by power but by my Spirit says the Lord of host {Zach.4:10}
“And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the ways of David his father and declined neither to the right hand nor to the left” {2 Chro. 34:2}
THOUGHT: DO NOT DESPISE THE DAYS OF YOUR YOUTH.
PRAYER: LORD JESUS, GIVE ME THE GRACE TO SERVE YOU ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE, IN JESUS NAME.
