So someone made a tribute song for Wizkid and the proud kid is yet to acknowledge it even though the song is currently topping chart on Apple Music Nigeria.
Carter Efe is one skit maker I have followed over a period of time.
Even though his skits are often chaotic, hard to grasp, fast paced and slapstick blended with dark humor, he is unarguably one of the best people to do it and still holding it down.
I knew he was bound for great things and so when he dropped his recent track, Machala, a tribute song to Wizkid, there was no better way to prove his versatility and launch into the more lucrative music industry.
Listen below:-
I loved the song and thought it made a lot of sense.
However, Wizkid, in his typical laid back approach to certain issues didn’t respond to or acknowledge the song despite the pressure from his nonspecific association of fans and supporters known as WizkidFC.
Davido, would have wasted no time to sign Carter Efe into his record label and make him a household name. But this post isn’t one of those for comparison of the two stars.
Remember Davido signed Brother Shaggi. Shaggi wasn’t a musician, he was still a comedian under DMW.
Wizkid is an insensitive and egocentric human being. His likes cannot raise someone from the bottom. In as much as Wizkid doesn’t owe Carter anything he was supposed to appreciate and acknowledge the song.
Even late Tupac and Michael Jackson would have acknowledge it. But “She Tell Me Say” crooner ignored.
